We're a family of locksmiths, not a faceless national chain. Based in Margate, right next to the old Sea Bathing Hospital, we've been the trusted choice for homeowners, landlords and businesses across Thanet and East Kent since the 1980s.
Our Story
Over four decades is a long time to be in any business — and in that time, Thanet has changed enormously. But one thing hasn't: people still need a locksmith they can actually trust. Someone who turns up when they say they will, charges what they quoted, and does the job properly.
That's what Access Lock & Key Service has always been about. We started as a local locksmith and key cutting service and we've grown with the needs of the people and businesses in this area — adding vehicle key services, access control, CCTV installation and safe supply along the way. But we've never lost sight of what matters: being the locksmith Thanet can rely on.
Our workshop in Margate is where most keys get cut, most advice gets given, and where we've served generations of local customers — some of whom have been coming back to us for 20 or 30 years.
